Crystal Maria Itri and Mary-Elisabeth Nickel lead very boring and average lives. College freshmen, Utahns, and complete nerds, they really don’t have much going for them.

Seriously. They don’t know why you’re here. But, while you are, they thought they might as well provide a little more information about themselves.

Crystal grew up in the lively state of Pennsylvania. She grew up the oldest of four, as the only girl in the home. So while finding time for herself is sometimes challenging, inspiration is plentiful. She enjoys music (both playing and` listening), reading, and teddybears. Above all, she loves writing. Her favorite genres are fantasy, sci-fi, and romantic-comedies. Her favorite bands are Muse, the Stuts, and  Queen. That's about all she wants to say about herself. 

Mary-Elisabeth was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. So, naturally, she loves cold weather, and would rather be eaten by rabid rats then dragged back into the heat. She wrote and rewrote the same book from ages 6-13, before having the wonderful idea of trying something new.   Mary-Beth is a student of English Literature, a cellist, and graduated top of her class. She also enjoys studying Russian literature in her free time. She’s a bit obsessed with Jane Austen, and draws inspiration from YA pioneer S.E. Hinton. 

Growing up in strangely similar households, the two cousins have always adored writing. Now, whether or not writing returns this adoration is debatable, but they continue to engage in it nonetheless. Although both are outrageously antisocial, they somehow managed to both end up in Utah and get along well enough to co-author a book. A little over two years later, they’re now on draft three and working towards publication. 

We’ll see how that works out.
